What exactly is Learning Power? And where did it come from?

Learning Power measures eight personal qualities:

Openness to Learning, Mindful Agency, Sense-Making, Creativity, Curiosity, Belonging, Collaboration,
and Hope and Optimism.

Learning Power enables us to develop self-awareness, ownership and responsibility for learning in all aspects of our lives - both as individuals and as members of a team, an organisation or a community. Learning Power dimensions are holistic personal qualities which combine thinking, feeling and doing. The are all necessary for moving forwards into the unknown and essential to thrive in our uncertain world.

Coaching is integral to developing Learning Power using CLARA, the digitally enabled Crick Learning for Resilient Agency profile. Embedded into a Learning Journey the coaching conversation moves between my story, my learning power profile, my purpose and my performance (the job to be done).

Coaching is part of an active learning process through which learners take ownership of their own profiles, the change strategies they design and their ongoing performance.
